Le Bel Air in Decize is fundamentally a stopover spot, ideal for weary cyclists like my travel companions and me. While the fluorescent strip lighting and minimalist 'bathroom' setup, separated only by a curtain, lack charm, the value for €5 breakfast and the warm hospitality of the owner provided a silver lining to our stay. The free Wi-Fi in the public areas was a practical bonus for planning our next day's adventure. If you find yourself in Decize, it's best to treat this hotel as a necessary pit-stop rather than a destination in itself.
